John Kerekes

Educated as an architect, city planner, and attorney, John Kerekes brings a unique combination of skills and experience to GF and its clients. With over 30 years in real estate development across both private and public sectors, he has extensive experience navigating approvals from nearly every type of governmental agency and regulatory body.

John has practiced law in land use, real estate transactions, and environmental matters, providing a strong foundation for complex development projects. His project portfolio includes retail stores, power centers, commercial office buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, and alternative energy initiatives. Nearly 40% of his completed projects have involved taking over vacant structures and rehabilitating environmentally challenged sites.

His prior service as a federal employee has equipped him with valuable contacts and a deep understanding of governmental regulations and practices, enhancing the success of his development initiatives.
