GF has been recognized with two national awards for marketing and communications excellence at the 2026 SMPS Marketing Communications Awards, earning honors in the Project Pursuit Marketing and Video (Internal) categories.

Presented by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), the Marketing Communications Awards recognize the best marketing work from architecture, engineering, and construction firms across the United States and Canada. Winners are celebrated during SMPS Amplify, the organization’s annual conference, taking place this year in Las Vegas.

Receiving national recognition among the industry’s top marketing professionals reflects GF’s continued commitment to strategic storytelling, creative thinking, and meaningful communications that elevate both our client pursuits and our internal culture.

Project Pursuit Marketing – Award of Excellence

GF was recognized for its hospitality pursuit materials, which challenged the traditional approach to presenting experience in a new market sector.

Rather than focusing on the size of the firm’s hospitality portfolio, the pursuit emphasized the strength of the people behind the work. The messaging positioned individual expertise, thoughtful collaboration, and a personalized approach as the foundation of GF’s hospitality offering. Inspired by the experience of boutique hospitality itself, the proposal was intentionally crafted to feel curated, confident, and authentic.

The result extended beyond a single pursuit. It helped establish a new direction for GF’s hospitality practice while demonstrating how compelling storytelling can transform perceived limitations into opportunities for growth.

Video (Internal) – Merit Award

GF also received national recognition for its creative launch of the GF Company Store, a 70-second, 90s-inspired infomercial that transformed a routine internal announcement into an engaging employee experience.

Created entirely in-house, the video embraced nostalgic late-night infomercial aesthetics with energetic pacing, bold graphics, and playful storytelling to introduce employees to the new online store. Rather than relying on traditional corporate messaging, the campaign delivered information through entertainment, making it easy for employees to engage while celebrating GF’s growing brand pride.

Featuring members of the marketing team alongside architects and other team members across the firm, the video reinforced GF’s collaborative culture and demonstrated that the GF brand is built by the people behind it. More than a product launch, the campaign showcased how creativity can strengthen internal communications, build excitement, and foster a stronger sense of connection across the organization.
