GF transformed this Class A commercial office building near Alexandria’s historic Old Town, revitalizing underutilized spaces and enhancing functionality for all tenants. The atrium and penthouse were reimagined as flexible, light-filled spaces featuring collaborative work areas, a coffee bar, training and conference rooms, and high-quality finishes. Artistic shade sails in the atrium provide comfort while maintaining a human-scale, multifunctional design. The penthouse incorporates brick accents that reference the building’s historical context, and the rooftop terrace now includes a pergola and furniture for comfortable tenant gatherings. The exterior façade was tastefully updated to harmonize with the historic surroundings while standing out among its peers.
