GF designed the new Boeing IRC Expansion in Ladson, SC, providing both architectural and interior design services. The expansion includes an expanded manufacturing facility, new corporate office space, and a 20,000 SF cafeteria. The office features open seating, conference rooms, break areas, and support spaces designed for efficiency and collaboration.
A key highlight is the 20,000 SF cafeteria, a modern reinterpretation of a classic 1970s eatery. Designed to accommodate 400 people, the space features a bold roofline and angular geometry inspired by aircraft components, creating a striking architectural statement. The extended roof provides shaded outdoor seating, while a carefully curated color palette reinforces Boeing’s brand identity, ensuring seamless integration with the campus.
This expansion reflects Boeing’s commitment to innovation, functionality, and an engaging workplace environment.
