CFP Board

GF designed a vibrant, one-of-a-kind headquarters for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board), elevating the organization’s image beyond the traditional and generic style often associated with financial institutions. The new space fosters collaboration and communication between departments while creating a stimulating environment for both staff and visitors.

Visitors are welcomed on the 8th floor at 1425 K Street with high-gloss wall panels in CFP Board’s signature canary yellow and video monitors showcasing marketing and CFP Board content. The reception features a clean palette of warm whites, rift-cut oak, stainless steel, and accents of yellow and teal. A signature feature wall, made of over 42,000 pennies mounted at varying depths, visually accompanies visitors along the monumental staircase. The open and flexible reception can function as a waiting area or transform into a venue for large all-staff gatherings using retractable glass walls from adjacent conference rooms.

GF also designed a media-editing studio for audio and video content production, as well as a 3,000-SF call center on the 7th floor.

Private offices and open studio areas maintain a visual connection through floor-to-ceiling glass, while promoting collaboration and creative efficiency. Canary yellow accents define departmental neighborhoods throughout the workspace, supporting a team-based environment.
