GF provided architectural and master planning services for the City of Diamonds Resort, a 135-acre hospitality and mixed-use development in Gaborone, Botswana. The design celebrates the region’s diamond production heritage while creating a dynamic city center to attract international business.
The project carefully integrates public and private spaces with open areas to foster activity and vitality throughout the resort. Sustainability was a central focus, incorporating green development strategies across the site. Twin “Freedom Towers” serve as iconic landmarks, establishing the resort as a new symbol for the region. The project was recognized with the Outstanding Property Award London – 2021 for Environmental and Sustainable Architectural Design.
