Located on the outskirts of the central core of Dongguan City, GF designed the hospital expansion as part of a larger master plan that encompasses medical, residential, retail and hospitality in one new urban hub.
All the program elements were designed in harmony so that the Hospital expansion was part of the fabric of the city and not closed off from the rest of the new community. A focus was placed on communal spaces interspersed between the buildings that act as a connective tissue.
