Lanzhou China Silk Road International Science and Technology Exhibition

The China Silk Road International Science and Technology Exhibition Center is a landmark development within the Greenland Gansu Lanzhou International Expo City, designed to merge functionality, cultural symbolism, and modern design.

Located near the Qinwangchuan National Wetland Park in Lanzhou, Gansu, the center facility is in close proximity to Zhongchuan Airport and Lanzhou New District South Station, positioning the facility as a hub for regional and internal collaboration along the Silk Road Economic Belt.

Spanning approximately 1.6 million SF, the project features exhibition halls, cultural displays, and public open spaces. The design draws on Silk Road heritage, incorporating modern “wings” and “ridges” to reflect Lanzhou’s role in the region’s economic development.

The center includes light and heavy exhibition halls, accommodating a variety of events, including large-scale machinery displays. A central landscaped axis with cultural installations, water features, and green spaces supports outdoor exhibitions and public gatherings, while integrated systems ensure smooth pedestrian and vehicle circulation. Sustainability is emphasized with local materials, energy-efficient infrastructure, and drought-tolerant native plantings.

As a new landmark for Lanzhou, the China Silk Road International Science and Technology Exhibition Center bridges the city’s historical significance with its vision for future economic and cultural progress.
