GF designed a new headquarters for Summit Consulting, LLC, a team of economists, consultants, and research scientists, following unprecedented staff growth. The 5,000-SF space was expanded to accommodate nearly 150 employees in a flexible, collaborative environment that reflects the company’s purpose-driven culture of innovation and teaming.
The design features a vibrant reception area, four “neighborhoods” of benching-style workstations, private meeting rooms, phone booths, and open collaborative lounge areas, or “collision zones,” to encourage impromptu discussions. All enclosed offices include full-height glass walls to maintain visual connection and daylight penetration throughout the studio. A central break room, designed as a multifunctional “living room,” serves as both a dining and collaboration space, featuring polished concrete floors, an open plenum with exposed deck-mounted lighting, and a custom trellis supporting a living wall as a striking backdrop.
