TCTC’s Foundation Industrial Training Center was designed to accommodate the college’s new CNC curriculum, due to an increased demand for a robust, skilled workforce driven from the construction of a 200,000 SF manufacturing facility in nearby Anderson. The 8,500 SF Industrial Training building features a 5,805 SF CNC lab, a classroom, a clean room simulation, offices and shared support spaces. As the new CNC program needed to be fully operational in less than a year, a pre-engineered building with metal roofing and wall panels was utilized for an efficient construction timeline. GF used Construction Manager-at-Risk (CM@R) delivery process to complete this project.
