Tri-County Technical College: Oconee Hall Feasibility Study

GF led a comprehensive Pre-Design Study for the renovation of Oconee Hall at Tri-County Technical College, following the successful completion of the College’s Utilization and Space Needs Analysis and Master Plan Update. The study focused on enhancing the building’s internal circulation, diversifying classroom sizes, creating informal student gathering spaces, updating faculty offices, renovating the auditorium, and upgrading key building systems including plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical. Exterior improvements included a refreshed façade, a defined entry element, a new drive and traffic circle, and enhanced outdoor green space. GreenbergFarrow collaborated closely with the College’s administrative and academic teams, as well as preferred vendors, to develop a detailed building program. The team produced conceptual design documents and assessed existing systems and site conditions. A final design package, including a project narrative, rendered plans, elevations, and a preliminary cost estimate. was delivered to support stakeholder alignment and project approval. Additionally, GF developed a Student Capacity Calculation for the Pendleton Campus, leveraging existing scheduling and data to determine building capacity and guide space planning for Oconee Hall.
