GF provided architectural and master planning services for Yenagoa City Center, a 3.4 million SF mixed-use urban enclave on 138.3 acres in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. The development includes high-end retail, cultural and entertainment venues, dining, world-class office buildings, a secure luxury residential complex for 2,500 residents, a clubhouse, a school, and two boutique hotels.
Designed as a self-sufficient community, the City Center provides its own power and water, with neighborhoods organized around a biaxial parkland system that creates a strong sense of place and high-quality public amenities. GF’s design balanced modern living requirements with local climate conditions, integrating secure zones with clear distinctions between public, semi-public, and private spaces. Yenagoa City Center set a new benchmark for sophisticated mixed-use development in the region.
