James Lew leads GF Design Group’s Singapore office, bringing nearly a decade with the firm and over 20 years of professional experience to his role. He is recognized for his ability to align visionary design with practical, sustainable solutions that meet client aspirations. 

His expertise is rooted in architectural fundamentals, advanced design concepts, and cutting-edge construction methodologies, strengthened by proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM) to foster collaboration and streamline delivery on high-profile international projects. 

James’ career includes extensive global experience, notably in China and the UK, broadening his cultural understanding and enriching his design approach. Holding a Global Executive MBA from CEIBS, he combines design leadership with strategic business insight. 

Specializing in context-sensitive, commercially astute, and enduring architecture, James has delivered high-density mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse projects, and culturally significant designs across Asia. He partners with developers, institutions, and public entities to create buildings that enhance urban environments and stand the test of time. 

Currently, James is steering GF Design Group’s growth in Southeast Asia, leading expansion into markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
