GF provided full architectural services for the transformation of a 10,000 SF former bus depot into Noble Smoke BBQ, a vibrant destination on Freedom Drive in Charlotte’s western corridor. The adaptive reuse project includes a 1,400 SF event space, a 200-person patio, and an open-air biergarten, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor environments.
GF also served as architect of record for Hyde Brewing, located within the same development. The team collaborated with Johnson Studios for interior design, Vision Builders for kitchen equipment design, and Doerre Construction for the upfit.
The project brought together Hyde Brewing and renowned Chef Jim Noble to create a dynamic, inviting venue that enhances Charlotte’s local dining and entertainment scene while highlighting the potential of thoughtful adaptive reuse.
