GF provided master planning, landscape architecture, and architectural services for Sk8 Charleston, a first-class regional skate park featuring 32,000 SF of skateable surface. In collaboration with world-renowned skate park designers Team Pain, GF helped bring the park’s concrete features to life, including a 220-foot snake run, two bowls, and a 320-foot street section lined with rails, stairs, ledges, and extensions. A contemporary support facility provides covered and uncovered seating and an observation deck. The 1,500 SF building includes a skate shop, concessions, and restrooms. Additional park features include an event lawn, drop-off area, ample parking, and specialized sport lighting for nighttime use and enhanced visibility.
