The Waccamaw Regional Recreation Center at Parkersville is a 26,000 SF community center for the local community. The center includes one full indoor basketball court and three half courts, which can each be subdivided for individual play or tournament events. The gymnasium also provides shuffleboard, a walking track, two foursquare courts, three volleyball courts, and a climbing wall. The facility also has 2,800 SF of space for cardio, weights, dance, and aerobics. The facility provides meeting rooms and a prep kitchen, serving as the community senior center. Locker rooms, restrooms, concessions, and office space are also part of the facility. The center was designed as a prototype for Georgetown County Parks & Recreation.
