Leasing is now underway at The Addition – a five-story topper on a single-story commercial building in the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City. The six-story structure now has a total of 94 apartments with rents starting at $2,123/month, according to Modern Spaces, which is handling leasing and marketing on the project.

The building features a mix of studio through three-bedroom apartments. Typical apartments here have ceiling heights that range between nine feet and 11 feet; oak hardwood floors; Caesarstone countertops, ceramic backsplashes and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; porcelain tile-fitted bathrooms; and washers & dryers in-unit.

Residents in this GreenbergFarrow-designed rental will also have access to a host of amenities including a fitness center with a Peloton bike, a game room, a screening room with movie theater-style seating, three rooftop terraces, a dog run, shuffleboard and bocce courts; and a playground, among other features.

With leasing now underway, residents are expected to start moving in sometime next month. The project is being developed by The Hakimian Organization. This is the latest project to launch in the increasingly popular Dutch Kills sub-neighborhood. Recently, a converted firehouse here went on the market for $5.5 million. If it sells for its full asking price, it will set a new record for the most expensive home sold in Long Island City.
