GF provided architectural and interior design services for the adaptive reuse of a three-story, 18,270 SF historic building in the heart of Charlotte. The renovation transformed the top two floors—over 13,000 SF—as well as the ground floor lobby into a modern, dynamic law office for Sodoma Law.
The design approach carefully preserved the building’s historic character while introducing contemporary elements that elevate both aesthetics and functionality. By highlighting original architectural details and integrating modern workplace strategies, the project reimagined the space as a vibrant, forward-thinking legal environment.
The project has been recognized with the Charlotte Preservation Awards: Award With Distinction – Commercial Preservation, honoring its success in adaptive reuse and commitment to preserving Charlotte’s architectural legacy.
