GF provided architectural and engineering services for East River Plaza, a 650,000-SF, five-level retail center with an adjacent seven-level parking garage accommodating 1,248 vehicles. The first three retail levels, including a below-grade cellar, house two big-box retailers, while the upper two levels accommodate seven smaller tenants. Connected by an open-air gallery with pedestrian walkways and bridges, the development occupies portions of three city blocks, efficiently fitting the entire program onto a constrained 6.3-acre site.
