GF provided Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Interior Design, and Construction Administration Services for the Carolina Pines RV Resort, located off Highway 90 in Horry County, SC. The project includes over 700 RV sites and 100 park model units organized into various pods throughout the site. Each pod has a smaller amenity area consisting of a bath house, pavilion, pool, various sport courts, playground, dog park, and/or passive greenspace. The front entry includes a building for offices, maintenance and guest check-in, and complimentary entry features. The large central amenity area includes a clubhouse with restaurant, bar and activity rooms, fitness and spa facilities, and a recreation facility with an arcade and bowling. Also featured in this area are multiple pools and hot tubs, a water park, sport courts, dog park, miniature golf, fire pits, outdoor dining, and entertainment spaces.
GF worked with the site’s natural features as well to preserve wetlands, create exclusivity, and provide walking trails and unique experiences throughout the project. The Resort was constructed in phases, with the final components completed in 2021, and is currently open for guest enjoyment.
