GF led the major renovation of an existing three-story precast concrete Early Learning Resource Center, originally built in 1967. The project included complete removal and replacement of all interior and exterior architectural finishes, as well as MEP systems.
Our Structural Engineers performed seismic analysis and retrofitted the building’s lateral-resisting system, integrating a new lateral system into the existing structure. The renovation also introduced new clerestory and atrium features, which required partial removal of the roof structure, reinforced concrete masonry walls, steel roof framing, and Rammed Aggregate Pier foundations.
