Dyckman Office Center

One of the unique qualities of this two-story building is its wedge-shaped site that is 500 FT long and only 125 FT at the widest dimension. The roof is unusual as well; due to zoning constraints and the flexibility to allow for automobile stacking on the top-floor garage, there is a low perimeter roof and a separate, central, higher roof. The building material is predominately precast concrete juries chosen for the economy, speed of construction and durability. The Dyckman Center, designed to accommodate the New York City Agency of Human Resources, is located at the Northern tip of Manhattan Island.
