Dyckman Office Center

GF provided architectural and engineering services for the Dyckman Center, a two-story building located at the northern tip of Manhattan Island, designed to accommodate the New York City Agency of Human Resources. The project sits on a uniquely wedge-shaped site, 500 feet long and 125 feet at its widest point. The roof design is distinctive, featuring a low perimeter roof and a separate, higher central roof to comply with zoning constraints and allow automobile stacking on the top-floor garage. The building is constructed primarily of precast concrete, chosen for its cost-effectiveness, speed of construction, and durability.
