GF provided architectural and engineering services for Phase II of The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley, completed in 2008. The 200,000-SF development consists of nine shop buildings housing upscale outlet retailers, specialty stores, and restaurants, including fast-casual dining. The design thoughtfully incorporated the historic Manteca High bell tower, blending heritage with modern retail architecture. Construction utilized CMU and metal stud–framed walls, steel roof framing, and concrete footings, while featured entry elements at each building entrance addressed the challenges of the region’s high seismic activity.
