Stono Park Elementary School is a $16.5 million facility designed to accommodate 500 students on its existing 5-acre site. Replacing the previous school, which was demolished to make way for the new construction, the 70,000 SF building was developed in accordance with current Charleston County School District (CCSD) Education Facility standards. Due to site constraints, including limited acreage and an existing floodplain, the school was designed as a two-story structure. Thoughtful master planning ensured optimal space utilization, maximizing the building program while enhancing on-site circulation for students, staff, and visitors.
