GF provided architectural design services for a landmark mixed-use development in Southern China, envisioned as a global icon. The project balances the objectives of the developer, government, and office tower tenant, resulting in a contemporary design that includes office, retail, entertainment, and residential components. The retail podium features a Book City, cinemas, and major anchor tenants, while the base also houses a Television Broadcast Center and multi-level Conference Center.
The office and residential towers are oriented to maximize 360-degree city views. To address the tropical climate, horizontal sunshades across the façades reduce solar heat gain and lower cooling costs while allowing natural light into interior spaces. Diagonal corners accommodate integrated solar arrays, reflecting cutting-edge sustainable technology. Cascading green spaces throughout the ground floor and upper terraces enhance ecological sensitivity and create inviting, human-centered environments.
