The new 24,668 SF building will accommodate an advanced manufacturing teaching facility and will be sited on a 3.5 acre parcel within the Atlantic Center Industrial Park, near the Conway Campus. The program includes machine tool lab, welding lab, CNC lab, classrooms, administrative spaces, and support. The interior environment uses a large public circulation spine with major lab spaces organized along the major corridor. Public spaces for visiting industry partners and conference room are located near the main entrance of the building. Faculty offices are located in respective labs. The facility is one-story steel pre-engineered building with some conventionally steel framed areas. Finishes were selected for appropriate uses, ease of maintenance and sustainable properties. The project has been awarded Green Globes Two Globes certification.*
