GF provided full architectural and engineering services for Georgetown Cupcake’s Buckhead store in Atlanta—the sixth location for the brand and its first in the Southeast. Situated within the upscale Buckhead Atlanta mixed-use development, the 2,540 SF store was designed to reflect the character of a modern bakery, with baking and finishing areas fully visible to customers.
Working closely with the owners, GF planned every aspect of the store for operational efficiency, strategically situating equipment, work surfaces, and storage for accessibility and a clean presentation. The retail area features a ceiling height of more than 20 feet, creating a bright and spacious ambiance. To enhance the street presence, two angled bay windows extend beyond the façade, providing space for dine-in seating, while large north-facing windows fill the interior with indirect natural light and clear views into the store.
