The design of Powerlong Xiamen Mixed-Use revolved around the client’s request client that all buildings, no matter what program type, share the same architecture language.
The shopping mall portion was designed with the original organic nature of the building site in mind. GF used bold rectilinear forms that tied back visually to the towers; by doing this, it complemented the rectilinear nature of the towers making the project appear “whole.”
