GF provided architectural services for the redevelopment of the former Stella D’Oro Factory on 237th Street, transforming two existing structures into approximately 165,000 SF of new retail space anchored by a major retailer.
Due to tight site constraints, both buildings were designed to support parking facilities above, accommodating nearly 370 spaces in addition to on-grade parking. To meet zoning requirements and facilitate vehicular access, the anchor tenant’s main sales area was placed below grade, necessitating an integrated network of vertical transportation systems for both customers and merchandise.
