“The Addition” at 33-01 38th Avenue is an innovative 94-unit premium residential building in the heart of Long Island City. For this project, GFs main focus was sustainability. Rather than tearing down the existing, dilapidated, commercial warehouse, the GF design team added three stories and transformed the structure into a fresh sophisticated modern form. The juxtaposition of the existing structure and the modern addition above speak perfectly to the rapidly changing, once industrial, neighborhood.
